A group linked by common interests. Whereas the term organization tends to emphasize structure and efficiency, community suggests shared purpose, mutual cooperation, and supportive relationships.
e.g. your school’s community may include teaching staff; non-teaching staff; pupils/students; welfare officers; parents; the neighbouring schools; if you are a secondary school this may include all the primary schools whose pupils come to you when they are seniors. Your local college or university. The local education authority; advisors/inspector; groups for the local area etc.
